HISTORY
​
architecture saville isaacs was established in 2007 by Steven Isaacs and Lisa Saville, after extensive high level experience within the Australian marketplace with two of Sydney’s most respected architectural practices.
Prior to relocating to Australia in 2000, both Steven and Lisa gained invaluable experience working in the pre-handover Hong Kong market designing enormous residential and transport facilities, and in South Africa covering the design of such diverse project types as office buildings, corporate parks, call centres, industrial complexes, retail complexes, restaurants and wine tasting centres.

architecture saville isaacs we have a passion for architecture, the practice of architecture and the construction of buildings. We are inspired by architecture’s ability to contribute to both the public realm and the wellbeing of individuals.

The core idea of people living and engaging with place is an underlying principle of our practice, given expression in how architecture engages with its surroundings, not in a general expansive nod to view, but in a varied and intimate manner.

As an ongoing approach, we seek to express each element and material honestly and emphasise its tactile qualities. Junctions are finely detailed to articulate different materials and render the structure and construction legible.

There is a level of responsibility in contemporary design practice to create more with less, we strive to achieve this by focusing on the simplicity of spaces.

Steven Isaacs is responsible for the design and day to day running of projects and is assisted by our core team as well as contract staff as required. The office structure is extremely flexible and dynamic, ensuring maximum contact and flow of information between the client and the production of their project. This also enables us to respond quickly and efficiently to our client’s needs.
With years of experience in construction contracts, we are well equipped to ensure that projects run smoothly and efficiently. architecture saville isaacs take pride in our ability to identify, resolve and manage the inevitable challenges that arise during the course of building.
