STUDIO
architecture saville isaacs is a dynamic, focused architectural practice providing a unique combination of award winning design skills and a strong commercial sensibility.
Architecture is our passion - we are inspired by architecture’s ability to contribute to the public realm as well as the everyday experiences of a building’s users.
We believe our greatest value is at the front-end of projects, focussing on creativity, efficiency, design fundamentals and the big picture vision that sets our projects apart from the pack.
Our client-focussed practice ensures that our clients’ success is our highest priority, with Principal involvement from project inception to completion. At architecture saville isaacs professionalism, integrity and a collaborative approach are intrinsic to everything we do.

PHILOSOPHY
We have a passion for architecture, the practice of architecture and the construction of buildings. We are inspired by architecture’s ability to contribute to both the public realm and the wellbeing of individuals.
The core idea of people living and engaging with place is an underlying principle of our practice, given expression in how architecture engages with its surroundings, not in a general expansive nod to view, but in a varied and intimate manner.
As an ongoing approach, we seek to express each element and material honestly and emphasise its tactile qualities. Junctions are finely detailed to articulate different materials and render the structure and construction legible.
There is a level of responsibility in contemporary design practice to create more with less, we strive to achieve this by focusing on the simplicity of spaces.

HISTORY
architecture saville isaacs was established in 2007 by Steven Isaacs and Lisa Saville, after extensive high level experience within the Australian marketplace with two of Sydney’s most respected architectural practices.
Prior to relocating to Australia in 2000, both Steven and Lisa gained invaluable experience working in the pre-handover Hong Kong market designing enormous residential and transport facilities, and in South Africa covering the design of such diverse project types as office buildings, corporate parks, call centres, industrial complexes, retail complexes, restaurants and wine tasting centres.
